If you follow me on my Instagram, you will have seen a few pictures of the beach as I am down in Sorrento, about 1.5 hours from Melbourne, for the Queens Birthday long weekend. Even though it is winter, I love coming down here and relaxing even if going for a dip in the ocean is completely out of the question. It’s so nice just taking some time, spending your days going for walks around the main town, or taking the dog for a walk on the beach, or sitting around chatting to family.
Speaking of going for walks around the main town, these Bared footwear Parrot Monk’s are probably the best shoe to do it in as they are beyond comfortable. The founder of Bared Footwear is a pediatrist and was sick of not being able to recommend fashionable, yet suitable shoes to her clients as all of the ‘suitable’ footwear available on the market looked like they all belonged on Grandma’s feet. So this is where the idea for her company started: stylish, yet comfortable shoes that are good for you. You can read more about it here.
I own 2 pairs of Bared footwear shoes already, so I’m so happy to add these stylish monks (which are also available in black, both patent and regular, and mint and tan) to my wardrobe as I have lived in my other ones. These boots were the perfect shoes for me to walk hundreds of k’s around New York City in, and were durable and still looking good enough to last me through our winter.
