Spring Racing With Wittner Shoes

Spring Racing seasons has officially started, and I’ve teamed up with Wittner Shoes to show you some of their newest shoes and how you can wear them to the races.

DERBY DAY:

Derby Day is all about creating a traditional monochrome, black and white look with a modern twist. I chose to team Wittner’s monochrome clutch and Defiy heels with a black Ruby Sees All structured bustier and modern asymmetrical cut black and white skirt (also by Ruby Sees All). As the skirt and top are quite a statement by themselves, I chose to go with a smaller headpiece by Jendi.

OAKS DAY:

Pastel colours works perfectly on what is traditionally known as ladies day, with traditional shapes, cuts and colours being the prominent outfit features on Oaks Day. Sticking with the pastel theme, I chose a fairly traditional twin set by Cue, and added some pastel pink with a Danica Erard Millinery headpiece. Wittner’s ‘Justice’ nude pointed heel works perfectly with the pastel colours is the right sized heel to last all day at the races in, and along with the nude patent clutch, ties into the chic yet sophisticated look of the day.

STAKES DAY

Stakes Day, being family day, is all about comfort, and the Lumi Black Suede heels are the perfect pair of shoes to wear on this day. Teamed with a comfy pair of Morrison culottes, a very big trend of the season, and a relaxed yet colourful top by Mossman to brighten up the outfit, this look will have you comfortable enough to last all day at the races.

MELBOURNE CUP DAY:

Melbourne Cup is known as ‘the race that stops a nation’, so experimenting with shapes and colours is not only accepted, but also widely recommended. For Cup Day, I chose to wear pastel pink Cue dress with a full skirt, and used bright pink accessories in the bracelet and Danica Erard Millinery to make the outfit pop. Melbourne Cup is the day to wear your best and most show stopping heels, and Wittner’s ‘Rory’ high heels were the perfect match for this outfit.
